Our Chapel Oaks Adventurers Club meets on the second Saturday afternoon of the month (September - May) from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Chapel Oaks SDA Church
We provide fun and creative ways for children to:
develop a Christ-like character
express their love for Jesus in a natural way
learn good sportsmanship and strengthen their ability to get along with others
discover their God-given abilities and to know how to use them to benefit and serve others
improve their understanding of what makes families strong
Club Meetings - For the first hour we meet in the Activity Center for a short worship thought and sing a few songs, followed by a snack and games. Then the second hour we break up into small groups by ages, with two teachers per group and do honors to earn badges/awards. Throughout the year our Mighty Acorn Adventurers earn badges/awards in a variety of areas, such as community helper, zoo animals, little boy Jesus, my Bible friends and habitat…each month learning fun and creative ways to grow their relationship with Jesus!
Additional Adventurer Group Activities:
Bike rides through the park with our fellow club members.
Family fun nights at the Church (family friendly movies, pizza, popcorn, and games).
Exciting overnight Adventurer family campouts at one of our area State Parks.
In addition to our nature activities, the club yearly enjoys a visit from the Caption of the Shawnee Fire Department and his crew, which includes a tour of their fire truck.
We would love to add you to our Adventurer Club mailing list! To sign up, please fill out and submit the following form.
